What is Diagnostic Consultation
Diagnostic consultation is a standalone process where a qualified practitioner helps you explore your concerns and experiences. The aim is to clarify whether your difficulties may be related to Autism or ADHD and guide you in deciding if a full diagnostic assessment is necessary.

Diagnostic consultation is a 90-minute session where you can explore your concerns with a qualified clinician. It helps you understand whether a full assessment for ADHD or Autism is necessary.
2. Do I need to prepare anything before the consultation?
Yes. You will be asked to complete a few forms and screening questionnaires before your appointment. This allows the clinician to better understand your background and concerns.
3. How long does the consultation last?
The consultation lasts around 90 minutes. During this time, the clinician will review your forms, discuss your experiences, and provide guidance on whether a full diagnostic assessment is recommended.
4. Will I receive a diagnosis at the consultation?
No. A diagnostic consultation does not provide a formal diagnosis. Instead, it helps you decide whether moving forward with a full assessment is the right step.
5. Will I get a report or letter after the consultation?
No. This session is advisory only. You will receive verbal feedback and recommendations, but no written report or letter will be provided.
6. What happens after the consultation?
At the end of the session, the clinician will recommend whether a full assessment is appropriate. If you choose to continue with a full assessment, the consultation fee will be deducted from the total cost of respective diagnostic assessment.
7. Who will conduct the consultation?
All diagnostic consultations are carried out by qualified, experienced and trained clinicians registered with professional bodies such as HCPC, GMC, or NMC.
8. How much does a diagnostic consultation cost?
